What “Classic Reimagined” means

For Roblox’s 20th anniversary and the platform-wide The Hunt: Roblox 20 event (September 17–28, 2026), Dualpoint Interactive shipped a Classic Reimagined playlist that rebuilds the spirit of the original Apocalypse Rising 1 map inside Apocalypse Rising 2 systems (place 863266079, free-to-play since July 1, 2022). It is nostalgia with modern networking, gunplay, and UI—not a full rollback of every AR2 system on the live archipelago.

You can still play the standard multi-island vanilla map (Halsey / Faris / Mackinaw). Reimagined is an alternate Home option so Hunt traffic and longtime fans can choose the classic layout without deleting the modern archipelago for everyone else.

How to pick the map from Home (including the 4th panel)

1. Launch Apocalypse Rising 2 from Roblox.
2. Stay on the Home / main menu screens—do not mash Play on the first panel if you want a specific map.
3. Scroll the Home panels until you see the Classic Reimagined / anniversary artwork, then click it to queue classic servers.
4. To return to the vanilla archipelago, Dualpoint’s patch notes say to scroll to the 4th panel on the Home screen and click that image.
5. Confirm in-world landmarks match the playlist you intended before committing a long Hunt walk.

If Hunt teleport flows drop you straight into a quest hub, finish hub pickups (Beans, Medkit, Bloxy Cola) first, then verify which map playlist you landed in before long farming sessions. Full badge routing lives on The Hunt Badge.

Mobile support — Reimagined only

Anniversary traffic includes a huge mobile audience. Dualpoint called out MOBILE SUPPORT for the classic Reimagined map specifically—treat it as Reimagined-focused mobile enablement, not a promise that every vanilla archipelago workflow is identical on touch. Touch players can complete Hunt objectives on the classic playlist without being soft-locked. Expect simplified control prompts, the same survival needs (food, water, health), and the same PvP risk—mobile does not equal PvE-only.

Tips for touch / controller players during the event:

• Lower look sensitivity if camera swing feels wild after the August sensitivity refactor (Soviet Takeover / Controls).
• Prioritize automatic weapons early; precision bolt rifles are harder on touch.
• Use cover more; peeker’s advantage feels different without mouse micro-adjustments.
• Party with friends via Follow Friend (see below) so someone on keyboard can cover angles.

Xbox and PS5 players (supported since May 1, 2026) can also join anniversary playlists when Roblox routes them there—PS4 remains unsupported.

Classic skins, Follow Friend, Trinity cosmetics

Classic skins

The Reimagined drop adds a limited Classic weapon skin pack with two-tone looks from the original Apocalypse Rising era. These are presentation / cosmetic layer features—do not confuse them with new hitscan stats. Grab what you like while the anniversary window highlights them, then track unlocks on Cosmetics.

Follow Friend

Follow Friend on the Home screen lets you teleport to a friend who is already in either version of the game (Reimagined or vanilla). Use it when Hunt random queues split your group, when a friend finished hub supplies first, or when deaths strand teammates on different islands. Groups still cap at five survivors for coordinated play.

Limited Trinity cosmetics

Dualpoint tied limited Trinity rewards to Reimagined exploration:

• Limited Trinity Beret
• Limited Blue and Red Trinity camo uniforms
• Additional limited AR vest cosmetics found by exploring the Reimagined map

Treat them as timed collectibles: screenshot your inventory, finish event quests, and do not buy scam “Trinity codes.” AR2 still has no promo codes.

How Reimagined connects to The Hunt badge

Inside The Hunt: Roblox 20, Apocalypse Rising 2 represents the 2013 year stop. Typical flow:

1. Unlock the 2013 challenge by finishing the prior year (Base Wars / 2012) in the Hunt sequence.
2. Collect hub supplies in the 2013 Challenge Hub (Beans, Medkit, Bloxy Cola).
3. Enter AR2 / Reimagined space and complete survival quests: equip a primary + backpack + melee (axes/hatchets count; pocket knife may need drop+re-equip), kill Infected, travel on foot (walking progress can reset on death), and witness sunrise / sunset.
4. Return to the Hunt hub to claim year rewards and continue the timeline.

Survival differences to expect

• Landmark memory from AR1 helps, but AR2 itemization, Infected behaviors, and gun balance still apply.
• Hot drops around iconic classic POIs will be worse during Hunt peak hours—loot a side route first (Loot Guide).
• SPECIAL gun knowledge from the modern map (special weapons) may not map 1:1 onto classic POI names; adapt.
• Event UI tabs can overlay quest trackers—open them early so you do not walk thousands of studs without credit.
• Vehicle handbrake and instant ammo transfer from Soviet Takeover still apply—use them, but remember Hunt travel wants walking, not driving.

After the anniversary window

When The Hunt ends, Dualpoint may keep Reimagined selectable, convert it, or shelf pieces. Check the parent Updates Hub and Dualpoint Discord via Links. Vanilla loot meta guides (loot guide, tier list, gamepasses, cosmetics) remain the long-term backbone either way.
