How to use this wiki in a run
Open the map with M, mark a quiet coastal town, and treat your first life as a shopping trip: backpack, automatic firearm, food, water, and bandages. Melee Infected when you can — quieter kills attract fewer players and often improve loot outcomes. Do not sprint into NAS, Ashland, or Prison until you have a bag and a real gun. Groups of two to five players turn friendly fire off, which makes coordinated looting far safer than solo roaming.
When you find a car or boat, repair drive tires and the engine first, then park short of contested loot — full vehicle habits are on Vehicles. Hunger and thirst never stop. Keep beans, drinks, or equivalent consumables in the bag at all times. When you die you lose the run’s gear; cosmetics and unlocks remain (Cosmetics).
