Apocalypse Rising 2 Starter Kits & Gamepasses
Bandit, Survivalist, Hunter, Veteran, free Snubnose kits, 2x Infected Loot, and Premium Hair—worth-it calls for 2026.
Why starter kits exist in Apocalypse Rising 2
Apocalypse Rising 2 by Dualpoint Interactive (Roblox place 863266079) is free-to-play since July 1, 2022. You can clear every military site, farm elite Infected, and chase L96A1 drops without spending a Robux. Starter Kit gamepasses only change what you spawn with on a fresh life. They do not unlock exclusive endgame rifles, secret islands, or permanent inventory slots.
On May 15, 2026, Dualpoint added a Starter Kit menu on the Character tab plus four paid kits—Bandit, Survivalist, Hunter, and Veteran—alongside free options beyond the classic Snubnose loadout. This page compares each kit, prices, and honest value so you can decide before you click Buy. For the full pass list and buying tips, start at the Gamepasses Hub. Pair kit choice with getting started habits and the weapon tier list so you still upgrade off the beach kit within minutes.
Core rule: everything in every paid kit is world-lootable. If a store thumbnail implies you need Robux to survive, ignore it. There are also no redeemable codes that grant free passes.
Free kits — Snubnose, Knife & Beans, Beans Only
Before you spend, open the kit selector and learn the free rows:
| Free kit | What you get | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Default Snubnose | Weak .45 ACP revolver, Pocket Knife, beans, drink, basic meds | Standard learning path |
| Knife & Beans | Melee + food, no firearm | Stealth challenge / quieter starts |
| Beans Only | Food only—no melee, no equipment | Hardcore / content creators |
The Snubnose kit is the intended beginner spawn: a short-range revolver that should be replaced the moment you find any better pistol or automatic. Use the knife on Infected so you do not broadcast gunfire. Knife & Beans and Beans Only are optional challenge modes Dualpoint shipped with the same update—they teach map knowledge faster because you cannot lean on a free sidearm.
If you are brand new, stay on Snubnose until you can reliably loot a backpack and an automatic on a free life. Buying a kit before you know Halsey vs Faris routes usually wastes Robux on comfort you will outgrow in a week.
Paid starter kits compared
All four paid kits also include beans and a Pocket Knife on top of their themed gear.
Bandit — 250 R$
Theme: Cheap early PvP opener.
Typical spawn: Makarov, three extra mags, a box of 9mm Soviet, a soda, and a Flashlight. Notably light on medical supplies.
Worth it? Best budget pick if you already know small-town routes and die to players more than to thirst. The Makarov beats the Snubnose in practical close fights, but you still need to loot meds immediately. Skip Bandit if your deaths are mostly infection, bleeding, or night navigation—Survivalist solves those better.
Survivalist — 400 R$
Theme: Stay alive long enough to loot.
Typical spawn: P38, two extra mags, a box of 9mm Parabellum, Water, Small Medkit, Bandage, Health Booster, Lantern, and Binoculars.
Worth it? Strongest choice for newer players and anyone who rage-quits after starving or bleeding out. Binoculars and the lantern teach information and night movement habits that transfer to free kits later. The P38 is still a temporary sidearm—your real goal remains a backpack and full-auto from the loot guide loop.
Hunter — 500 R$
Theme: Aggressive pressure and Infected farming starts.
Typical spawn: Coach Gun, a box of 12 Gauge, a Sports Drink, a Stamina Booster, one Bandage, and a Survival Flashlight.
Worth it? Buy when you already survive consistently on free or Survivalist spawns and want shotgun pressure for early fights or special Infected routes. Coach Gun is loud and short-ranged—great for door peeks, terrible for open fields. At the same 500 R$ price as Veteran, pick Hunter only if you prefer CQC aggression over balanced pistol + military meds.
Veteran — 500 R$
Theme: Balanced combat head start.
Typical spawn: M1911, two extra mags, a box of .45 ACP, two Military Field Dressings, and a Military Flashlight.
Worth it? Best default 500 R$ kit for mixed PvEvP. Field dressings matter more than people admit after the first gunfight, and the M1911 is a cleaner all-rounder than Bandit’s Makarov for players who take mid-range peeks. If you only buy one combat kit and already manage hunger, take Veteran.
Side-by-side decision table
| Kit | Robux | Primary vibe | Buy if… | Skip if… |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bandit | 250 | Budget PvP pistol | You want the cheapest gun start | You die to needs/bleed |
| Survivalist | 400 | Sustain + tools | You are learning the loop | You already never starve |
| Hunter | 500 | Shotgun aggression | You farm fights / Infected up close | You hate CQC reloads |
| Veteran | 500 | Balanced combat | You want one strong all-rounder | You only care about cosmetics |
2x Infected Loot Drops — 500 R$
This is not a spawn kit. It permanently doubles drop chances from Infected for cosmetics, consumables, and utilities for the player who gets the kill. It does not double weapon or backpack drops—Infected that always drop guns or bags still drop them the same way.
Worth it? Yes for fashion collectors, booster hoarders, and players who already clear Infected efficiently. Low priority for brand-new survivors who still need map knowledge. If your goal is rifles, spend time on tier list routes and military crates instead of this multiplier. For Infected behavior and farming context, see the Infected guide.
Premium Hair Colors — 75 R$
Unlocks a wider hair color set in character customization. Purely cosmetic, cheapest pass, zero combat power.
Worth it? Only if looks matter to you. Never buy Premium Hair expecting loot, damage, or spawn items. Buy kits or 2x Infected first if you are choosing between cosmetic and power-adjacent passes.
Are any passes required?
No. Apocalypse Rising 2 expects most of the population to succeed without Robux. Practical free path:
- Learn the getting started checklist—backpack, automatic, food, meds.
- Upgrade weapons with the tier list so you stop clinging to novelty pistols.
- Squad in groups of up to five; shared meds beat any 250 R$ sidearm.
- Ignore fake codes promising free kits.
- Confirm live pass contents in the official Roblox store—Dualpoint can retune bundles.
Buying and account tips
- Purchase only through the official Roblox gamepass prompt inside AR2 or the game’s store page.
- Passes bind to your Roblox account; sharing credentials violates Roblox rules and risks bans.
- Xbox and PS5 (supported since May 1, 2026; PS4 unsupported) use the same entitlements when Roblox cross-buy applies—confirm before double purchasing.
- “Unlock all gamepasses” scripts are account thieves. Read the Scripts Hub warnings.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Which Apocalypse Rising 2 starter kit is best for beginners?
Survivalist (400 R$) if you die to hunger, thirst, bleed, or nights. Bandit (250 R$) if you only want the cheapest pistol start. Stay on the free Snubnose kit until you can loot a backpack consistently.
Is Hunter or Veteran better at 500 Robux?
Veteran is the better default for mixed PvEvP thanks to the M1911 and Military Field Dressings. Hunter fits aggressive CQC players who want a Coach Gun and stamina tools.
Do I need a starter kit to enjoy Apocalypse Rising 2?
No. The game is free-to-play. Every kit item is lootable in the world. Kits only soften the first minutes of a life.
Does 2x Infected Loot Drops double gun drops?
No. It doubles odds for cosmetics, consumables, and utilities from Infected. Weapons and backpacks are unaffected.
What free starter kits exist besides Snubnose?
Knife & Beans (melee plus food, no gun) and Beans Only (food only, no melee or equipment). Both were added with the May 15, 2026 Starter Kit menu.
Is Premium Hair Colors worth buying?
Only for cosmetics at 75 R$. It grants no spawn gear, damage, or loot odds. Buy it last if you buy it at all.
